paper fruit II

More paper fruit for Thai artist Wit Pimkanchanapong’s installation at Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery, Lancashire. Autumn – Winter 2008.

The stall of a paper fruit that was allocated on Blackburn Market at times found itself short on fruit, as the general public seemed to be that amazed with it, that they frequently helped themselves ….naughty, naughty!!! Maybe if they had been the ones that had sat for hours popping the shapes out of card, striving to stick the correct parts together, they would appreciate the time, effort and patience it took in assembling the fruit, that and the fact that they weren’t theirs to take!!!

At least my effort helped to stock up the stall. There is nothing quite like the sense of achievement that you get when you have assembled a full bag of paper fruit.
